Passion Cabin │ Drake Bay Getaway Resort │ Costa Rica
Passion cabin is the second story room in our two-story building at the highest point in our property. It is a spacious, well-ventilated, eco-luxury cabin engineered to be kept cool using a passive cooling design, avoiding the need for air conditioning. It was built using environmentally friendly, sustainable materials and teak wood from a sustainable teak production farm in Costa Rica. It has a large balcony with seating area, and passion fruit vines winding around the balcony railing, a king or two queen size beds with high-quality mattresses, a ceiling fan, a tiled bathroom with two rain showerheads, and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the famous Drake Bay jungle and Corcovado National Park right from the bed and shower!
This cabin has an amazing view that lets you take in the ocean. Depending on the time of the year, you may be able to see whales in the bay from this cabin. Not to mention, jungle views with birds and butterflies surrounding you, thanks to the Passionflower plant that not only produces the sweet, juicy passionfruit but also exhibits spectacular deep purple, orange, and blue flowers with a delicate and unique shape, also known as the 'clock flower', their nectar attracts both hummingbirds and butterflies including the bold-striped Zebra longwing.
Our cabins are located in the spectacular hills of Drake Bay and as such, require a short uphill walk to your accommodation. Our staff will be there to assist you with your luggage.
Drake Bay Getaway Hotel is located in Drake Bay (Bahía Drake), a popular ecotourism destination n the southern Pacific side of Costa Rica’s famous Osa Peninsula. Famed for its incredible diversity of animal and plant life, the Osa Peninsula is perfect for the nature-lover, the adventure tourist, and those looking for a relaxing or romantic getaway in paradise.
As one of the last remaining areas of Costa Rica still untouched by large developments, vacationing in Drake Bay is a truly unique experience. With only a few hundred locals living in the main town of Agujitas, Drake Bay is a hidden gem. The locals in Drake Bay are some of the warmest and generous people you will ever meet, many of whom have lived in the area with their families since the 1970s. The village of Drake Bay is a true Costa Rican town with very little outside influence.
