Our gardens are regularly tended too to maintain and enhance its beauty all year round. Explore the vast gardens to see if you can spot the first boundary stone that was placed back in 1608, smell the flowers in our sunken garden or even compete in a game of croquet on the lawn. Even in the traditionally wet British weather, you can enjoy the gardens with a pair of wellies from reception.

Our Traditional & Master Suite both feature air conditioning.
Cedar Lodge Suites
Escape to our Cedar Lodge Suites, just a short walk away from the main hotel in the heart of our 120 acre estate. Sink your feet into plush rugs, admire one-of-a-kind furniture and toast to an irresistible break away on your balcony overlooking the Sussex countryside. From 52 square meters to a full duplex suite, our Cedar Lodge Suites come with plenty of space, air conditioning, technology and unique design features to really set the mood.
The Gatehouse
The final piece in the Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa puzzle is The Gatehouse. A fully serviced luxury apartment sleeping up to four guests, The Gatehouse sits at the edge of our 120 acre estate, offering total privacy and the perfect destination for a group getaway.
Dining
Alexander House, our five-red star country house in the Sussex countryside is a destination sure to please the most discerning of palates. Overseen for many years by our wonderful Executive Head Chef Darrel Wilde, you will find two restaurants, a champagne bar and our drawing room where we serve Afternoon Tea.
The first of our two award winning restaurants is our relaxed 2-rosette space, 'Reflections', with views across the courtyard and an adjoining lounge with fire. Our 3-rosette restaurant, AG's headed by our new Head Chef Johnny Stanford will take you on a gastronomic journey through our tasting menus in the most exquisite of settings.

Welcome to Utopia Spa at Alexander House Hotel. Grecian-inspired interiors and water-based therapies await, working with the renowned Temple Spa & ila products. Featuring 25 treatment rooms including three couple's treatment rooms, relaxation lounges and a bespoke outdoor barrel sauna and hot tub, our luxury spa hotel in Sussex is the perfect destination for an invigorating and refreshing break away. Relaxation shouldn't be a one time thing: after your treatments, spend the day unwinding in your soothingly fluffy robe while you enjoy a drink at the bar, delicious dining in our Reflections Restaurant or explore our 120 acre estate. A stunning renovated Jacobean mansion, Alexander House is a luxurious countryside retreat, set in 120 acres of glorious West Sussex countryside. With a distinctly personal feel, we specialise in designing fabulous bespoke wedding days with flair, making the very most of the glamorous interiors and spaces, and the beautiful gardens.
We have four beautiful ceremony & reception suites; from the sumptuous South Drawing Room to the light and neutral setting of the Shelley Suite, along with our pretty wedding gazebo for outdoor occasions. We are able to host up to 90 day guests and 200 evening guests for your wedding and working with our team of expert wedding designers we will help you create your perfect day.
