Cape Town International Airport serves destinations throughout South Africa and has direct connections to some of the key European and Middle East hubs, with flight times ranging from 10 to 12 hours. Our priority is you, your partner and guests, ensuring your big day is exactly as you dreamed it would be and more. **** ***_Mont Rochelle Wine and Vineyards_*** At Mont Rochelle, we cultivate and nurture various grape varieties including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon amongst a few others that are used for blending purposes to add complexity. The vineyards are situated between 250m and 400m above sea level exposing the grapes to a range of micro climates. Mediterranean-like conditions found in the Western Cape means dry summers and high winter rainfalls of 1000mm. The Franschhoek Valley also experiences the south-easter which helps bring in cooler air allowing for a longer ripening period. A favourite activity for many of our guests is picnicking on the estate – our kitchen can arrange a well-stocked picnic basket with a chilled bottle of wine (or two!). There are two restaurants, a cosy bar, a spa, a gym and an outdoor pool. That’s not forgetting a 37 hectare vineyard and wine cellar of course. **** ***_What to pack?_*** The atmosphere at Mont Rochelle is casual and informal, but that doesn’t stop you dressing up for dinner at MIKO, if you wish. The ambience at the restaurant next to our wine cellar, The Country Kitchen, is relaxed, jackets and ties are never necessary, but it’s totally up to you! When you’re not dining you might well be soaking up the sun around the pool, so we’ve provided some sunscreen however you may wish to bring your own.
